All recipes are from Nawal Nasrallah’s Delights from the Garden of Eden: Kari ‘l-Loubya (curry of black-eyed peas) p. 225, Sammoun (brick oven bread) p. 98, Jajeek (cucumber and yogurt salad) p. 148. The curry has a wonderful citrusy quality, from the dried lime and the coriander I guess. Overall it was a new flavor to me but somehow tasted familiar, maybe because the flavors were balanced so well. The bread and the cucumber yogurt salad were nice accompaniments too.
