Cambuulo iyo Maraq

I used this recipe. I wouldn’t have guessed that adzuki beans are in common use in Somalia. I’ve associated them much more with an Asian red bean paste. I’m sure there’s a good explanation somewhere. It was a tasty and inviting dish. Sometime I’ll also try this Maraq digir. It has some similar elements but it’s a very different configuration. I’ll take any excuse to use za’atar, too.
